Sleep Tight

I had such a great shoot this morning!  I got to photograph the precious little twins of my OB - Dr. Rob Newman and his wife, Ann.  These two little angels were so much fun.  At 6 weeks, these preemies weighed in at 7 1/2 pounds and just loved being awake!  Which was fun for some great alert pictures, but not so fun for executing some of our many ideas for them.  Finally, after a holding, rocking, feeding, we stuck them in a laundry basket together and they snuggled up and fell asleep like this.  It was so cute, and so worth the wait!  I just love how the little girl, Maren, cuddle right up to her brother, Mitchell.  Thanks Maren and Mitchell!  And thanks Rob and Ann for allowing me a few moments to record some of these priceless memories.  (Do you think we can try this same pose in 15 years?)

First Post

Well, I can honestly say that I am surprised it has taken me so long to get my act together and start blogging!  I have wanted to do this for over a year now, but have struggled to find the time to get started.  (You know... since it took me like 5 minutes to actually devote to setting this up!)

Well, now that I'm officially current with the tech trends, it's probably OK to admit that I have just learned to TEXT message and I do own an ipod now!  (The text messaging became a necessity to communicate to teenage babysitters and the video ipod a lifesaver for middle of the night baby feedings.)

Luckily, my camera and computer are all up-to-date with the best and most current programs and accessories.  So, as hard as it is for me to admit that I am SLOWLY getting older... that I have LOST TOUCH with some of the hip realities (apparently one of my HS Seniors said that they have heard of someone that I might have listened to growing up... MADONNA, but couldn't tell me any of her songs)... at least I can say that I know what is going on with the most current photography trends and love to constantly explore new, creative, and different ideas to keep our portraits looking fresh, fun, and real.
